One pint in 73 minutes? :)
Peaceful and lovely. You can keep the Guiness though.
Indeed Sean, as it was a mid-afternoon drink and I became engrossed in writing my rubbish (or are you telling me it was down too fast? No... way too slow for a German I suspect, and ludicrously slow for the Irish, obviously!). It was also a one and only pint, for I headed off to a coffee shop after that. Thanks for permission to keep my Guinness EC, I did indulge again today (took about 12 minutes this time Sean... Better?) Its distinctive and seductive loveliness takes a while to acquire but is well worth the perseverance, I found (by about age 21).
Twelve minutes sounds indeed better, at least for the first.Interesting: I drank my first Guinness with 21, too, when we played in England. "Not my taste", I said. – "Ah, after the second pint you will love it", the English goalie said. To my sursprise he was right. A "love" was born, and a friendship began.
Are those beams of light coming down or going up?
Coming in the windows CP, down from the sun, or maybe up from the sun, depending on which way is really "up", if any way really is.
Info for Sean: Pint of Guinness today in 37 minutes, words written zero, useful thoughts zero, brain on downtime, drifting. Achievements in remainder of the day: Two wooden windows scraped and sanded ready for treatment, one visiting cat patted and scratched, 32 emails responded to, one day older. Must do more tomorrow...oh, golf booked for 14.04 tomorrow (until about 17.15), to be followed by Guinness while talking pointless nonsense to golf buddy. Life is just one mad whirl... er no... one slow and steady stir.
